Professional Services Group, Inc is Hiring an Employment specialist Near Kenosha, WI

Looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives? PSG / CIP is a multi-service community-based social services organization that is committed to helping individuals reach their full potential.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Employment Specialist to join our Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) Services Program.

As our Disability Employment Specialist, you will be working directly with individuals with disabilities to provide career assessment and counseling services.

You will help clients develop the skills they need to succeed in the workforce through opportunities including job shadows, internship placements, soft skills training, task analysis, systematic instruction, job preparation, job development, and job retention services.

This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow to full-time as you become an integral part of our team. If you have a passion for helping others and want to make a real impact in your community, we encourage you to apply today and join our team!

SALARY : Position starts at $19.00 per hour with opportunities for $1.00 performance increases at six months and one year

  • Assess employment readiness of individuals, determine barriers and needs for accommodations.
  • Meet with consumers in PSG offices, libraries, job centers, community buildings, or via Internet or telephone.
  • Reach out to employers to present the DVR Programs and consumers available for employment.
  • Complete billing and reports as required.

LOCATION : Office is located in Kenosha, WI with local travel required. Client meetings may be scheduled at our office, at community centers, or within client homes.

Must be able to meet in-person with clients in Kenosha County, WI.

SCHEDULE : Hours are varied Monday-Friday with a flexible schedule.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License, personal automobile insurance, and reliable transportation on a daily basis.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or related is preferred.
  • Work experience in job development or job center services is preferred.
  • Experience working and communicating with diverse populations and people with disabilities is preferred.
